Existing records may be deleted from the tables via the data management grids that are listed in any Data Management pane. When the data management grids are saved any records marked for deletion will be deleted.
Note: Records that are reference by other records can not be deleted.
Records are marked for deletion when the Del? check box is selected. This section will demonstrate the different ways to mark the equipment records to be deleted from the equipment table and how to delete these records:
Select the Del? check box for each record that you wish to delete.
Use the Right Click > Mark For Delete option to select the Del? check box for selected records. Multiple records may be selected and marked for deletion.
Note: Please ensure that you have been trained on how to delete records before proceeding, as once records have been removed you will not be able to retrieve them. It would be advisable to take a backup of the MiiNT database before deleting any records.
The process below will show/demonstrate how to mark individual equipment records for deletion from the equipment table using the equipment data management grid. The same process will be applicable for deleting records from other tables.
A grid will appear to the right listing all the records currently maintained within the Equipment table.
Locate the records that need to be deleted. Use Grouping, Filtering and Sorting to locate the records to be deleted.
Select the Del? check box for each record that needs to be deleted.
Select the Save button to remove the selected records from the equipment table. A Delete prompt will be displayed stating the number of records that will be deleted.
Select the OK button to remove the selected records from the equipment table or Cancel button to cancel the deletion of records. A message will be placed in the Status Bar stating the number of records deleted.
Hover over the message in the Status Bar to open up the Message panel. The message will disappear after a few seconds, alternatively you can select the Dismiss button to remove the message.
Note: If you navigate to another page before saving your changes the following window will be displayed from where you can continue without saving the changes, save the changes or go back to the page you were making the changes on.
The process below will show/demonstrate how to mark and delete multiple equipment records from the equipment table using the equipment data management grid. The same process will be applicable for deleting records from other tables.

Highlight cells of the records you would like to delete. Use Grouping, Filtering and Sorting to locate the records.

Right click and select the Mark For Delete option mark the records from the equipment table. The Del? check box for the rows with highlighted cells will be selected.
Select the Save button to remove the selected records from the equipment table. A Delete prompt will be displayed stating the number of records that will be deleted.
Select the OK button to remove the selected records from the equipment table or Cancel button to cancel the deletion of records. A message will be placed in the Status Bar stating the number of records deleted.

There are some records that will not be able to be deleted because they have been referenced by another record. When you attempt to delete a record that has been reference by another record a Delete Warning will appear in the Status Bar.
In the above example the Del? check box has been selected for record 4 and the Save button selected. The delete warning message indicates that truck TR03 has probably been used for the movement of materials. Hover over the delete warning in the Status Bar to open up the Message panel for the complete warning. Select the Dismiss button to clear the message.
